Talon^®

The Talon^® is a user-friendly and effective way to euthanize chickens using CO2*. Applying cervical dislocation can be difficult and requires considerable strength for larger poultry. When using the Talon®, simply collect a few culls into the bucket, place the bucket in the bucket holder, press the button, and let the Talon® run its cycle.

Talon Features

• Powered by a Dewalt 20-volt, Milwaukee M18, or Makita 18-volt battery (not included)
• Mount either on a Poultry Hawk^® or on a wall
• Push button operation
• Transportable from house to house (a CO₂ is needed per house)
• Uses a Talon^® bucket
• Monitoring sensors ensure proper functioning
• Indicator lights show pertinent information

CO₂ Specifications

• Uses a common 20lb. CO₂ bottle (not included)
• Average number of cycles per bottle: 150-200
• Approximately $0.15-0.20 per cycle

How it works

• Pressure sensors sense whether the system is ready for operation
• A flow meter senses that the proper amount of CO₂ is dispensed in the bucket per euthanizing cycle (90% target CO₂ displacement)
• The bucket lid remains closed for a preset amount of time after the CO₂ has been put into the bucket
